The module has 20 drum kit presets and there's room to store up to 10 of your own as well that you can put together using 250 different drum and percussion sounds. There are 20 built-in songs to drum along to and you can connect an external audio player to the auxiliary input to drum along to your favourite music too. There's also a recording function so that you can listen to your performance. Other connection possibilities include a headphone output, MIDI IN and OUT and a line out that you can connect to an amplifier, for instance.
One of the things that makes the CS130 so compact is its cleverly-designed frame that holds four 7.5-inch drum pads, three 10-inch cymbal pads and the module. The mesh snare drum pad is dual zone, while the three rubber tom pads and the hi-hat, crash and ride cymbal pads are all single zone. The crash and ride cymbal pads both feature a 'choke' function which means they can be dampened with your hand, just like real cymbals. The kit also includes a hi-hat pedal, a bass drum pedal, a drum key, all the cables you need, cable binders and even a set of drumsticks. The only other things you'll need to get started is a drum stool and a set of headphones or an amp.
