Sitka Spruce Top
The EAC-E, EDC-E and ES36-E models from Kepma features Laminated Sitka spruce top that gives the guitar a bright response in tone. Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking. As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era.
Mahogany Back and Sides
Mahogany when used as a top generates a warm, mid range dominant sound. However when paired with Sitka Spruce, can mellow out the sound of the spruce a bit and beef up the mid-range, add a more beefy character and reduce overtones. Kepma ES36 uses seasoned mahogany back and sides as well as the neck of the guitar.
